The Six “Cs” of Selling Your Home
HOME SELLING TIPS
You know about the “Four C’s of Buying a Diamond,” but I bet you do not know about my “Six C’s of Selling Your Home!”
1. CURB APPEAL
How does your property present from the curb? If potential buyers love the looks of the house from the curb, they become excited to see the rest of the property and they will call for an appointment.
2. CLUTTER
Eliminate clutter anywhere it exists, whether it’s out in the open or limited to one corner of the property: closets, garages, attic, each room, yard, etc. If they see it, it will lower their perception of the value of the property.
3. CLEAN
Make sure to clean everywhere and everything! People value cleanliness, in what they see, smell, and touch. People do not value crusty countertops, stains on furniture or dirt tracked in from the yard.
4. CHARACTER AND CHARM
This is what we call the things that make your property special. It is the little touches of decorating such as flower arrangements in a room and a fire in the stone fireplace can all contribute to a feeling that is unique to your dwelling. The four hundred and eleven piece toy train collection that doesn’t come with the property is probably taking it too far though…
5. CRITIQUE YOUR HOME OBJECTIVELY
How does it compare to others in the area? What are your property’s strengths and potential weaknesses? After performing a scientifically-based Marketability Analysis, I will highlight the standout features and of your home on all marketing materials, thus demonstrating your property’s superior value and desirability.
6. COST VS. VALUE
Spend money in the right places and on the right items to get your home “market ready.” Laying ground cover in the yard is a low-cost way to neaten the edges of your landscaping and make your property presentable from the outside. There are many other tricks we can use to spruce up your home’s look without breaking the bank.
The best place to start is to obtain a free, no obligation pre-listing consultation from Premiers, today. This will give us to chance to see your property up close and, from there, we will prepare a customized marketing plan.

On August 27th, 2024, I attended City Council meeting for the first time ever in 5 years of being a resident. What got me there wasn’t an overwhelming sense of civic duty, but the concerning news I heard through the grapevine that Lincoln was putting in a “homeless shelter.”
