Happy 4th of July from Lincoln, CA
The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. It’s our national birthday, after all, and I can think of few greater occasions to throw a party. As you’ll see from the photos, 4th of July is a big deal in Lincoln, especially at the annual parade, when residents and visitors are treated to a mighty procession of the area’s favorite pastimes. I always enjoy seeing families enjoying the weather outside to celebrate our national holiday and marvel at the antique cars, big trucks, even farm animals dressed up in their most patriotic attire. Here is this years’ City of Lincoln Fourth of July Parade in pictures.
With an active rodeo that goes back to when Lincoln was only a cow town and enthusiastic equestrian community, Lincoln residents love their farm animals even more than they love their antique cars.
Police and Fire Departments enjoy a lot of support in Lincoln.
All the best,

On August 27th, 2024, I attended City Council meeting for the first time ever in 5 years of being a resident. What got me there wasn’t an overwhelming sense of civic duty, but the concerning news I heard through the grapevine that Lincoln was putting in a “homeless shelter.”
